Swim Lessons

Brooks took swimming lessons at one of the local pools. He loved it! He loved being in the water and playing with the other kids. The lessons were great. They were suited for the age group of the kids. The practiced getting in and out of the water, kicking, putting their faces in the water, floating on their backs, and played fun swimming games. Lainey did better than I had thought with watching Brooks at lessons. We took several trips to the drinking fountain and emptied out Mom's purse several times after the snacks were gone, but we made it through. I took the kids to the pool the other night to swim. They were enjoying themselves so much. I think Lainey drank and burped up a good portion of the pool. Brooks was going under water so much his eyes were getting red. A little while later he said, "Mom, let's get out. I want my eyes to be blue again." I laughed and squeezed him. You can't think these things up. Kids are so wonderful.
