We have some friends that are using this method to keep in touch with family. I thought it would be a fun way for us to feel closer to family, at least those electronically savvy enough to use it.
Last weekend we drove through Canada to Rochester, New York to visit our friends Jan and Justin Jacobson. They have a new baby, Ross, who is two weeks younger than Lainey. He was blessed on Sunday. It was so much fun to see them. Angie's high school friend and college roommate Christina and her husband, Scott, also live there now. Justin's little sister and her husband, who is in dental school in Virginia, also were in town. We all went to see the Hill Cumorah Pageant. What a pyro-technical show! After spending so much time with our old friends, it was sad to return to Michigan.

We blessed Alaina on the 2nd of July. It's times like these that we wish family was closer, but it counts all the same. She continues to eat and eat. She doesn't sleep all that well, giving her more time to eat. She spends most of the night in the swing. Otherwise, Angie would never sleep.

Brooks had a fun Birthday on the 6th. We went to Cesar Land and had pizza and played on the playground. Many of his friends came to celabrate with us. He love his new "big boy"bed. But now he is always dragging his pillow and blankets around, wanting to set up a bed wherever he goes, including on the coffee table! His vocabulary is growing all the time and words are getting clearer and sentances longer.

Brooks' two favorite things...

Angie is working hard to keep the primary afloat, while juggling 3 kids (I count too), all without much sleep. I would help more at night if Lainey would take a bottle. She's finicky and has to have it from the source or not at all. Angie would sleep better if she didn't fall asleep (sitting) on the couch while nursing. The two of them were on the couch for about 4 hours the other night. Boy did Angie's neck hurt in the morning.
Residency is going well. I really like what I'm doing, which is good.
Lots of love and hope everyone is doing well. Hope to hear from you soon and find out if this messaging system will work or not.
Dan (Angie helped, too)

Cool! Not a bad idea for keeping in touch. Good to hear all is going well.
These are great. Thanks for the update. I will look into this way of communicating with pictures and all. We are now going through the heat wave you had there and it is terrible. I just had Lasik done on my eyes and am now just getting back into things.
Take care,
Mike
