Catching Up

We have been SO busy that I have not kept up with our blog. I thought I would try to get caught up before a whole new life starts for us. Next week we will be moving from our wonderful home in Michigan to start a new chapter in our lives in Utah. We are excited for all the changes and to be near family, but we will definitely miss our friends and life in Michigan. Here are a few cute pictures from the past few months. Lainey turned 3 and had a Fancy Nancy birthday party.
Brooks finished preschool. He loved his friends and his teacher Mrs. Rosiak.
My brother Chris and his wife Kate and little Henry made the long drive from Phillie to come spend a weekend with us. We visited the church where Kate was blessed as a baby and saw her childhood home in Michigan.
We blessed Maren at church. We love her so much and are so happy to have her as part of our family. She was so good during the blessing. However, we almost didn't make it on time because Dan accidently took both sets of keys with him to Bishopric Meeting. It turned out great and Dan gave her a beautiful blessing.
We took a small trip to Western Michigan and visited Grand Haven State Park. It is a gorgeous beach with great sand and a lighthouse off the pier. The kids had a great day playing on the beach.
We also visited Holland, Michigan home to the only authentic working Dutch windmill outside of the Netherlands.
Dan and I celebrated our 7 year Anniversary. We went to dinner at the Coach Insignia Restraunt, which is on the very top of the tallest GM building in Downtown Detroit. We had a great view on the city and river while eating yummy food. Love you Babe.
Brooks has been playing flag football with his buddies. He has loved running on the field and learning to work as a team. He is a great sport. Thanks to Coach Dave for all his time.
We also attended the Graduation Dinner for Dan's Residency. After all these, lets see 26 years of education and training, Dan is FINALLY done with school. He has been working as Co-Chief Resident this past year. Great Job Sweetie. Congrats also to Heather and thanks to Dr. Holland for your knowledge and kind words that night.
So admit all of this we decided to purchase a practice in Utah, made a few trips to Utah for interviews, began filling out the endless paperwork, looked for housing online for hours, and somehow found time to eat a get a little sleep. The next week will be filled with packing, cleaning, and craziness. Watch out Utah...here come the Hansens.
